Ferne

Ferne Edwards has studied and worked extensively within the fields of environmental anthropology, food politics and social movements. Her academic experience includes as Researcher on the Anti-consumerism in the Contemporary West project, RMIT University, and as Technical Assistant evaluating the Sustainability Street project, Victoria University. For her Master's thesis, Ferne conducted ethnographic research into subcultures' alternative consumption practices to consume food that would normally be thrown away. Her work has since been published in Alternatives Journal, Canada, and discussed on ABC radio. She has extensive experience working in environmental non-government organisations and is a graduate of the Future Sustainability Leaders program, Monash University.
