In developing its methodologies acsis stresses approaches which are:
- Problem led
- Creative
- Developed iteratively
- Bring together the interaction of social, economic and technological factors
- Utilise the insights already avalailable in the literature, from networks of partners, stakeholders and expert associates
- Makes use of established methodologies of foresight, forecasting, technology assessment, etc.
