Program Areas

acsis focusses its attention on innovations that arise from the interaction between technological, social and economic change. Initial technologies of interest are biotechnology, small scale technology (including nano scale technology) and information and communication technology. Social and economic drivers being considered include environmental sustainability and ageing populations within cities. The approach is shown schematically below.
